My path into dietetics always made sense for me—combining my love of science, people and food.

I’m passionate about helping people to see that a healthy relationship with food is more important than any superfood, diet or meal plan.

I’ve worked as a senior clinical dietitian across several tertiary teaching hospitals for over 13 years, including a tertiary mental health facility in NSW, and in acute care at the John Hunter Hospital. I have also guest lectured, tutored and supervised clinical dietetic students from several Australian Universities.

I truly believe we need to stop turning to rigid, inflexible dieting. When we approach our health with compassion and flexibility, wellness becomes attainable and sustainable.

FAQs

  • For individual consultations in a clinical setting and advice on your diet, you should consult a dietitian (APD). While there is a lot of great advice out there, there isn’t any regulation on the title of ‘nutritionist’. Dietitians work in a medical setting to treat and prevent chronic disease. It is important to choose a qualified dietitian (APD) who can provide medical nutrition therapy.

  • Dietitians see plenty of people who are well—not just those with medical conditions. Wellness and preventative health is something that everyone can embrace! Understand your body better, reclaim a love of meal planning, discover healthy shopping guides, and learn to decipher food labels—these are all measures you can take to improve your overall wellbeing.

  • Not at all. Food should be enjoyable, satisfying and nourishing. We’ll work together to make the changes that are a priority to you, and at a pace that suits you. With the right support, you’ll discover a new rhythm where the healthier choice becomes the easier choice.
